Intimidation factor of this route is massive, especially with thick dark cloud lifting, sagging and wetting the rock. The snow is almost a rubicon. The Great Slab rib with its white spots (awesome pitch) can be made out on this photo with the cloud sagging in the basin. The second slab rib is hard to find as it can not be seen from the basin (keep heading upwards and rightwards), but when found it is ace. The climbing thereafter is not at all easy and route finding is complex (the third slab rib only revealed itself to us when I found doing a tricky traverse in the middle of it's 60m high slabs!). There's signs of epics everywhere - snapped ropes, stuck ropes, desperate pitons. Strongly recommend dry, cloud-free conditions, whether the Ben will oblige is another matter! The rock is lethal when wet.

Love it. It captures everything that is great about Scottish Climbing. Have a 5 for just making me feel like I want it to be Winter in Scotland again now.
