Another shot from the spot height near Cairngorm, again not sure what it is looking at!

Just to say the colour of the sky is great against the snow. I guess the foreground could be improved as the snow on the left is out of focus and a touch distracting.

Nothing wrong with the colours there. As Colin has mentioned, some foreground interest low down would be good using a small aperture to help front to back sharpness but overall a good shot.

Nice pic! I use the G1, you're best shooting in RAW, don't know whether you've done that. Then use the conversion software (Silkypix), go to Contrast menu and increase the 'Black Level' by 10-18 depending on the light levels and increasing saturation a little. You get the sharpest images at F11. If you want improve sharpness it is best done in Photoshop, if you haven't got that, there are some fairly crude sharpening menus in 'Silkypix', although it does include Unsharp Mask in the 'Save' window. It's a great camera especially for the mountains, high quality images combined with light weight, I love it!

Thanks for the feedback. Dave, is Silkypix freeware or do you have to buy it?
