I spoke to the guys who were on it briefly at the road. One of them said 'thin' was an appropriate part of the route name. I was playing in the gullies off to the left and though there were areas of good snow-ice and the turf was sound there were many spots where there was powder over nothing. Some of those spots were not helpful to the soloist!
