Very Atmospheric..

Thanks, it was one of the moments in the mountains you knew all the pain that came before was worth it for that walk along the ridge as the sun came up above the inversion. Couldn't have predicted it either, thought we'd be sumitting in thick fog!

This is pretty average...

I don't mind helpful or constructive criticism, but it seems that you give neither from the 379 comments you've made on other peoples photos, all rude or abrupt! This is a by no means an amazing photo, but it is pretty good as many people think so here: (http://www.flickr.com/photos/envouter/457331652/in/set-72157622992732679/) and on UKC on the original posting. And evemn if no one else likes it I do as it was an amazing moment, I don't believe any photo would be able to do justice to but I'm reminded of by this :-)

Just the 48 comments and normally on rubbish photos. Yours is a good pic and i gave it a 4 but its not as good as people vote and its current standing in the comp, you know this. Things like the Horizon not being dead straight and the comp just slight wrong, the camera should have been tilted up a few degrees etc.
Tom_Harding - 18/Jan/10
Thanks Tom for actually saying what you thought was wrong, thats all I was saying. I just dislike generic thats not good comments, doesn't help anyone! Although I don't agree with you, the composition could be slightly higher but I wanted the ground in to get the real glow of the light on the rock too as well as the cloud. That and I was freezing and couldn't hold my camera still!

PS thanks for voting, I think there are some great shots in the comp from other people and I've voted for them!

Tom, if its 'pretty average', why give a 4? When i go to vote, 3 is 'average'.
Alexisg- comfortably worth a 5, and as my voting profile shows i don't give 5 votes that often

Its a beautiful shot mate! Just taken a look at your critic's pics and "people who live in glass houses springs to mind".
