Rockfax Description
A thrilling climb that in reality ascends a corner instead of a gully. From its end at The Crevasse, finish up Slingsby's Chimney and The Knife-Edge Arete. Start to the right of the base of Steep Gill under a large corner at a triangle-shaped flake.
1) 4b, 25m. Starting to the right of the flake, move up the wall to gain the base of the corner. Climb the corner (slightly bold initially) to a chimney that ends at a ledge and belay.
2) 4a, 25m. Climb up the main line of weakness to finish up a wide crack that gains a good ledge and belay.
3) 10m. The chimney above is taken to the top of The Crevasse to reach the belay at the base of Slingsby's Chimney. © Rockfax
