Rockfax Description
Another good route up an interesting feature. The split grade reflects the fact that you can avoid any real difficulty if you wish. It is grade 2 if you don't avoid any challenges. Approach as for Llechog Buttress, but cut across the hillside to the base of the next easier-angled ridge.
1) Start by avoiding the initial tower via some slabby rocks left of the front face of the tower. Follow the easier terrain to the top of the tower.
2) Ascend the rib to another tower, which can be bypassed on the right or climbed on the left. Get back onto the rib and follow this to a prominent shoulder.
3) The next step is climbed on its left-hand side to where the ridge eases. The final part of the ridge has many options, the most challenging of which are on the right-hand side.
Descent - Either descend the Llechog Buttress, Gryn Las Ridge or the The Dragon's Back. Alternatively head on towards the summit of Snowdon and its various descent options. Another attractive option is to continue over and do a scramble up Clogwyn Du'r Addru. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
The ridge begins to the right of the more obvious buttress. It begins at a saddle by a fence and dry stone wall. Scramble upwards with choice of line until you top out on the ridge.
