92m, 3 pitches. Torquays very own pant free alternative to its more famous Bosigran counterpart.
Start at the very far/south end of the Monolith at the lowest point in the lip at the southern end of the Ravine.
Belay on large blocks at this point.
1. 12m The first pitch takes the sharp, razor arête direct. Gain the top of the first large step then reach up for good holds on the arête, pull up to stand in a fantastically exposed position and commit to the final haul onto the summit with some careful handling of holds. Belay on Holm oaks.
2. 40m The second pitch is easy climbing/ scrambling but great care must be taken as there is still currently substantial loose material along the crest of the ridge particularly on its eastern edge which should be avoided. Holm oaks and chock stones provide good protection. Belay at the Holm oak on the left side just past the notch formed by Monorail and Trackbed.
3. 40m The third pitch is an easy scramble along to the big Holm oak perched on the northern end and then down climb the northern arête of the Monolith back to the gnarled ash at ground level.
