Clogwyn Du'r Arddu (Cloggy) - Longland's Climb VS 4c **
Reminded me of Doom at Craig Cywarch but a bit easier. We pitched the scramble P1, which was wet at the start, I strung P2&3 together, Etta lead P4, and I lead P5. Stayed roped up to get off because it was exposed and we weren’t sure where to go. I don't understand the comments about loose rock, it seemed pretty solid for a high mountain crag (try climbing some sea cliffs) and the vegetation really isn't at all an issue in the dry. I felt it was low VS because the climbing isn't particularly difficult and the protection is ok. Building belay(s) on slab section (P2/3) is a bit tricky and the short steep 4c section on final pitch are all that make this VS rather than HS. That said it would be very easy to make a route reading error and then things will quickly escalate. Good route!
