Climbs 20
Rocktype Grit (quarried)
Altitude 254m a.s.l
Faces W
A gritstone quarry first climbed on in the 50s and 60s but now overgrown and included for completeness and for curious would-be explorers. Although full route descriptions were included in the 1983 Stanage Millstone BMC guide, even at the time the preamble described the crag as overgrown rock of poor quality. There are however some areas of very good rock and several routes are worthwhile if cleaned.
Follow the second public footpath on the left from Tedgeness Rd (which is private - ie no parking here). Just after the boundary of the garden, head off left into the undergrowth and the quarry entrance is soon found. Good luck!
