Rocktype Volcanic tuff
Altitude 20m a.s.l
A slabby buttress of perfect compact black volcanic rock, with abseil descent from large cactuses (in situ sling will now need replacing).
Walk west from the pleasant beach at Ripaton Bay (south west of Portsmouth) then boulder hop and follow non-tidal slabby platforms beneath smaller broken sections of cliff until the super wall is reached. Much scope for new routing but only ground-up! Lower offs or better, proper development with marine grade stainless bolts could in theory create a worthwhile venue but no local climbers.
None known. Non-tidal platform but care in rough seas.
