A fine, rocky alpine frontier peak resembling a sharp needle from certain viewpoints. The southwest face offers multi-pitch routes and the Southeast Traverse is the classic route. Ideal as a alpine season training peak.
Access is easy by bus or car up the Vésubie valley to Belvédère village. From there, a road leads up to the head of the Gordolasque valley and then an excellent path leads to the Nice hut (2265m).
