Hi all:
I know it's a bit early but I'll be looking for partners around Ft. William from Feb 24-29. I'm a California-based climber and will be in Scotland for the first time. I'm doing some guided stuff on Ben Nevis out of the CIC Hut the week before, so I should have some sense of what's what by the time we'd climb together. At least I hope so.
I ended last season leading WI4 here in the US and in Canada and hope to break into WI5 this year. I don't know what that translates to in Scotland. Maybe nothing. Maybe I'll just be groveling around at the base and mewling like a lost kitten. Or maybe not. We don't have anything in the way of the kinds of mixed climbs you have in Scotland.
I suppose I'll post again closer to the dates in question, but my stoke level is too high not to start stirring the icy waters.

P.S. Needless to say, very happy to follow suit if you find yourself in California. Yosemite is 3.5 hrs from my home. Happy to take you there and to show you around.
