Evening

Im after a brass paraffin lamp to use for light and a bit of heat in bothies and shed.

Any ideas? 
I’ve seen a Welsh miners original Davy lamp on an auction site for £40 in full working order, but I,m not sure if it’s paraffin or oil.

Pressure lamp or not?  Pressure - Tilley, Hipolito, Petromax & Anchor were the brands popular with beach anglers in the '80s before Coleman petrol lamps took over. I think Anchor were chinese and lower quality, Hipolito and Petromax were deemed to be the best.  Petromax are still going strong, there's an outdoor shop in Bavaria who do courses on how to maintain them!

Old fashioned hurricane lamp if you want u pressurised - OK light for close to, but little heat really.

Pressure lamp big heavy things. Lots of heat and upto 1kw of heat. Look for Vapalux / Bialaddin on ebay
