I'm looking at investing in a decent lightweight waterproof jacket with a budget of around £200-£250

It will be used only for hill walking and I don't carry a pack so durability isn't a major concern. The most important thing for me is the breathability.

So far I have shortlisted:

Montane phase nano

Montbell rain trekker 

Mountain equipment firefox 

Does anybody have any experience of these jackets or have any other recommendations?.

Patagonia Storm 10 jacket is lightweight and packs down small in its own chest pocket. Hang it from your waist belt if not carrying a backpack.

Just don't need one for what I'm doing. Only do 1-2hr fast short hikes.
