Iceland - eruption

The Reykjanes magma intrusion broke through a few minutes ago.  4.5km north of Grindavik, east of the power station.

Wow what a great little webpage - the seismic stuff especially - I suspect that would be very addictive watching if you lived in Iceland.

And there seems to be a whole new pinky area (lava flow I presume) in the top left screen.

If you scroll back to 1:08 you can see it go off.  Very spectacular and so little warning.

The Blue Lagoon had reopened and this evening it closed about 2 hours before the eruption.
