I'm looking to get a cam assisted braking device for primarily indoor and single pitch sport, but potentially some multi-pitch sport.
I've used a grigri 2 in the past but didn't quite get on with it as I'm left handed.
I've also used a click-up which is great to handle but find it twists the rope.
The Matik looks good as you can use the ambidextrous 'pistol grip' to pay out slack, but reviews say it's only good for ropes below ~9.6mm, otherwise it's too grabby.
Has anyone used both the Matik and the new grigri? Do they both pay out slack similarly? How is the Matik's anti-panic handle - does it lock up too much if there is too much friction with the top anchor when lowering?
