I bought a Steripen in 2014, and I do not think it ever worked properly, but I was off on a big trip and did not get it sorted. My fault.
Off to India soon, so thought I should get it mended.
Contacted Katadyn who now market the Steripen, but had nothing to do with it in 2014.
I asked about repair, but as it is a sealed thing, repair is not a possibility, however they have sent me a replacement FOC, and only a few days after first contact, it has come from Sweden and has just purified a glass of water.
That is what I call going above and beyond the call of duty.
