Are there any good spots at Ratho for practicing placing gear, anchor building etc? (no climbing)

Anywhere really.

Just have a wander around the bottom.

Yes there’s a low grade sport climb right in the middle on its own that’s a great option for gear practice. Clip the bolts then practice away!

(But beware - we lost a nut in a crack first time we tried it. Might still be there!)

Where do you live as there are alternatives.
