Have booked my annual leave for November to avoid the winter blues, now trying to think of a destination where to go. We're a family of three who sport lead up to a 6c.

Original thought was renting a van in Spain and heading to El Chorro.  A friend has suggested that Canary Islands would be warmer, just as cheap and also have climbing.

Could I have your suggestions for cheap, easy sport climbing abroad, that preferably have guidebooks as well? Thank you

Kalymnos, Leonidio, Kyparissi, Crete, San Vito, Calpe, etc

Not climbed in Tenerife but others have said it's good for a week

How long have you got? If 2 weeks then kalymnos is pretty hard to beat, and will be quieter by then.  It's a bit of a mission for 1 week though.

For 1 week, I'd consider siurana area. Lots of really good areas at that grade (arboli, mussara, siurana itself).

El chorro would be good but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as siurana, in terms of climbing or landscape.

How about Margalef? Cheap flights to Barcelona, hire a car and drive there. Good spread across the grades and fantastic scenery. Plus Siurana is a short drive away.
