Hi all,

Maybe this is a silly question, but does a 190g pierce gas canister last roughly the same time as a 230g threaded gas canister? It's just I'm heading East and know I will be able to get the 190g gas canisters and need to work out how many I'm going to need for the trip.
BTW I have an Edelrid adapter that means I can use the pierce gas bottles with my jetboil.

Thanks

Some simple maths would suggest it will last about 0.826 times as long, or 4/5ths in round figures

It has 40g less gas in it, what do you think?

I think what's worth pointing out here is that the weight refers to the contents, not the gross weight, which I suspect is the reason for the naive question?

Yes- thank you.... and as I am about to have to use them for 2 weeks it does make a difference.

Cheers

It depends on how many eggs you are boiling at the same time.
