I'm looking at getting a new kit bag, primarily for carrying our climbing kit to Norway for ice climbing next year (the old bag having disintegrated this year) and I've been trying to get the lightest bag that's sturdy enough to do the job for a few years. I know about the ME Wet & Dry Kit Bag which can be had for £40 in the 70l version but it weighs over 2 kilos. I've noticed the aforementioned Lowe Alpine which is 100l and weighs in at just over a kilo. Has anyone any experience of this bag and how tough it is? Obviously it's not going to be as hardy as the ME bag but would it be up to the job of retaining my gear without exploding due to baggage handlers? Failing that has anyone used any kit bags that are lighter than to ME but tough enough to do the job?

Thanks.
