I was disappointed to find out that I had missed the World Mountain Bike Bog Snorkelling Championships at Llanwrtyd Wells last weekend. However, on looking at the Green Events website I just happened to notice the Real Ale Wobble. There is a choice of 15, 25 or 40 mile routes with free real ale at the checkpoints. All routes are off road, using farm and forest tracks, paths and open land.
So to begin my training I have just filled my water bottles with Guinness and am off up the mountain for a test ride. What we do in the name of sport!
