Has anyone used this site before?

http://www.urbanrock.com/products_detail.php?CatId=331&PId=1642

I usually use rockrun/needlesport and they are fine but am always a bit reluctant to use a new internet dealer without a recommendation...

What do you think of this rope deal?

Worth a punt?

In reply to Damian L:

it's not just some 'internet dealer' - they have real shops at some of the london walls.

i've not used them personally but if the product suits what you need then they seem legit enough.

with the rope deal - phone or email them and get confirmation that you will be sent a pair of differently coloured ropes.

the site just says 'colours vary', but it would be a pain in the arse if they only have red for example.

Never bought from them on the net but they're always nice and helpful in the shop...

And it's a fair deal

In reply to Rob @ urbanrock: That's the picture of the Westway shop. Been a customer ever since you guys opened. Never been less than 100% happy with the service and advice both during Sandy's time and now yours. Keep up the good work.

Urbanrock are a good company, with knowledgable staff, and service with a smile always. I haven't ordered from them online but, given the standard of their service in the shops, I wouldn't hesitate to do so if I needed to.

beal ropes handle well and have great specs... But.

- they get knoted together more easily than mammut
- they wear at a much greater rate than mammut

I currently have beals but I'll be getting mammut next time

I do think the dry treatment on beals is one of the best though
