Is there a book out at the moment on Fellrunning which may be shortlisted for Boardman Tasker award or some other kind of award. What's the name of the book.

In reply to grizz: Feet in the Clouds by Richard Askwith - a very good read.

In reply to grizz: Don't know if it is the one that's shortlisted, but "Feet in the Clouds" by Richard Askwith is a strong possibility as a recent publication. I'm in the middle of it now.

Feet in the Clouds?

A good read, but it does get a bit dull in the middle with lots of specific history about fell running. But the characters described are nails hard and amzing athletes.

In reply to Wibble Wibble: Some very sad 'portraits' - particularly Kenny's - bring out the dark side of what superficially seems a joyous obsession.

Cheers for that. I'll order a copy today.

In reply to grizz: I thought this book was brilliant. Anyone thinking of doing a mountain marathon should read the chapter where he does the LAMM - spot on

In reply to Paul Atkinson: I haven't got to that bit yet. Just read the chapter on Bill Teasdale. Oh to be that fit....
