Back at the start of 2020, my wife misread a comment on a FB thread about a challenge our club, Durham Fell Runners, could undertake. The suggestion had been to run a relay of Wainwrights Coast to Coast route, the misread ended up with us deciding it would be a great idea to run a club relay of all 214 Wainwright fells. 18 months later, we finished the challenge, on Monday, in a time of 4 days, 6 hours, 50 minutes and 15 seconds.
27 runners took part, all running in pairs 24 hours a day. It was an absolutely world class weekend away with the club mates. If you are looking for a club challenge, i'd encourage you to give it a go and let us know how you get on.
