Anyone done it? Any good?

Not after any alternative suggestions. Just any useful insight into the race itself, and the city as a place to visit if possible

Thanks in advance.

Well the city is a great place to visit if that's any help.

Great vibe, great people. Outdoorsy feel.

A few other sightseeing suggestions:

Whale watching (book the fast boat that goes direct from the mainland)

Original Starbucks (Pike's Place)

Bar of the Edgewater Hotel (great views & photos of bands who stayed there)

I have done some city running in Seattle. It's a lovely setting for a marathon.

Much appreciated.

Mount St Helens for a day trip, check the reiews as it might not be so impressive now but 25 yearsago the devestation of landscape was mind blowing.
