Not sure I want to encourage anyone to have a go, but I enjoyed the video!

So did I! Plus it distracted momentarily from today's tooth pain. Good effort from Ben Mounsey, ta for sharing.

I've done that in the Kilnsey Show race and it is dangerous. Finished covered in blood one time.

In reply to Matt Podd:

I'm surprised he didn't cut his hands on the barbed wire (perhaps he did)?! I winced when I saw him grab it!

Needs to be chasing some cheese down it

In the race they put a rope down it and station a lot of Mountain Rescue at the bottom! A lot of people wear gloves.

as long as he stays clear of my Black Combe descent record... (from the race not necessarily Strava)

The Tryfan Downhill Dash can be quite dodgy...  August 24th 7pm this year. See various YouTube videos.

In reply to Myfyr Tomos:

do you mean local-favouring dodgy timing as well?

(context: had a clubmate who finished TDD and stopped his watch a good chunk inside the record. S4C or similar were filming. The race timing mysteriously didn't work and he was credited a time just outside the record - to preserve local dignity on telly you could say if you were being uncharitable)

(And he didn't break both wrists as legend says Mike Blake did)
