My trusty forerunner 220 battery isn’t what it used to be, I’m lucky to get 90mins out of a charge. Happy with watch and would prefer to replace the battery rather than buying new watch and landfilling the new one. Does anyone knew of any such service? 

It’s not replaceable. The whole watch is a bonded unit. Garmin don’t repair, only replace.

A quick Google shows many vids of just about every forerunner model being taken apart and diy battery replacement happening

I’ve got sausage fingers and having butchered phone screen repairs, would rather pay someone 😀

The glass is a part of the whole unit. If you damage the glass then the whole watch has had it. 
 

Garmin won’t replace batteries due to labour costs. The 220 is superseded now. 

I sold mine stating that the battery life was down to 4 or 5 hours. Someone on here bought it to use on shorter runs.
