Hi all,

Staying in Sicily on family hols at the back end of the month. Wifey has given the go ahead for a day or two’s climbing. She’s out of practice so 3s and 4s likely the order of the day for her (or slabby 5s), and have 7yr old in tow to get on some easy stuff. A classic mid-high 6 for me would be a bonus. Single pitch, preferably short(ish) walk-in. There’s a gazillion crags to look through, so if anyone has any standout recommendations it would be appreciated. Staying north coast a little east of Palermo, have car.

Any pointers much appreciated!

Thanks

Chris

Have a look at the left hand end of Valdesi - zero access, shade in the morning, and a beach below. https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/mount_pellegrino_-_valdesi-8712/#m...

San Vito lo Capo has sectors specifically developed for what you want. All have easy access

San Vito is a bit awkward for you as you have to navigate through Palermo, but lots to do when you are there, great beach, good food, and nearby are Erice and Segesta

From N to S

Scogliera Di Salinella - North  good swimming close by, very popular

Scogliera Di Salinella - El Bahira, and nearby  Scogliera Di Salinella - El Bahira

Scogliera Di Salinella - South

Scogliera Di Salinella - South

Scogliera Di Salinella - Far South

And closer to Palermo (driving not crow's flight) is  Rocca di Cerriolo  with a good beach nearby.
