Hi

As part of book research, I am trying to find the whereabouts if possible of Ian Cowell, who climbed in the Lancashire quarries in the late 1960s, but seems to have moved away, possibly to Coventry but I'm not sure why I think that.

Of course, Ian would be in his late 70s now, so it might not be able to locate him, but if anyone knows or knew him, I would be grateful in any information.

Thank you in advance if you can help out!

All the best!

Phil Kelly

Sorry well Off topic but any chance you could let me know the original route description of Unoriginal Route at High Tor from the Stoney Route book.

Cheers

Give it til the end of July and you’ll be able to get it yourself 🙂

if it was ever in one of the Outside books, you can get it now.

There aren’t any descriptions in the guidebooks due to the controversy about it and was hoping to clean it up in next couple of weeks but don’t whether it moved right into original route to finish or carried on direct to the top.

The Stoney books will be available to purchase in book format, at the end of July, from Amazon.

The Outside books are already there.

Unfortunately I don’t have easy access to the originals for a couple of weeks, sorry.
