This morning I drove past Yarncliffe. There were 3 'crew busses' the, blocking the entrance gate. On the way back home I stopped to 'visit the scenery' and went into the now empty quarry. The entire quarry floor was covered in litter. Filled almost two carrier bags full of pop can, water bottles and food wrappers. What a shame that a nice place like this should be the site of such abuse, condoned by the group leaders who to their charges there.

I didn't think to look for names on the busses. I wish I had.

Can people show some respect for the countryside and can 'instructors/group leaders' start to teach their charges that they should respect the places they use!

I wish I had taken the names from the busses!

Justified rant over!

Well done for cleaning up after whoever it was who left the litter.

It could have been groups on a walk through the woods rather than climbers. I would hope that any qualified outdoor instructors wouldn't leave somewhere like that.

They were on the crag, you could see top rope anchors from the road!

It is not unusual for climbing group leaders to not be considerate. Just try Lawrencefield and the other easy access crags at this time of year.
