Hi. Anyone have experience of being able to work the moves on Cave Route Right (7b+)using a 60m rope pls? Rockfax guide suggests belay chain is at 32m so in theory could just get down on stretch but because the route doesn't follow a dead straight line, I'm thinking it's unlikely?

Thanks for any info

All 60m ropes are different but in my experience even extending the lower off with long slings you may find that after lowering off and untying that you might struggle to keep both ends within reach. You may get away with your 60m but you might not.

When I was on  no it last year there was a screw gate on the penultimate bolt as the top bit was wet. It may still be there as that bit is often wet (although I doubt it is now)

Thanks for the info Steve. That's what I suspected.

Thanks for info

60m isn't long enough for CRRH. 70m minimum.

Maybe my (new and unchopped) 70m wasn't the full 70m but I recall only just getting down.

In reply to Will Hunt:

OK thanks for the info Will.
