Cicerone Press is a leading publisher of trusted guides for walkers, trekkers, mountaineers and cyclists, based in Kendal on the edge of the Lake District. Our 360 books span the UK, Europe and much of the world, and are sold worldwide, in specialist and general outlets, and online.
The role
The job includes consumer and trade communications and newsletters, social media and book launch publicity. You will work closely with our Marketing Manager and Sales Director, reporting to the Development Director.
Responsibilities include launching new books, managing email marketing and newsletters, all social media communications and advertising, and implementing campaigns. You will also be involved in other aspects of sales and marketing efforts across the business.
Essential personal requirements include high levels of friendly communication online, offline and on the phone and the ability to work independently and within the team. Articulate, confident, with strong written skills and a passion for the outdoors.
Desirable training and experience may include the publishing or the outdoor industry, a degree or higher qualification, previous responsibility for an organisation’s social media, experience of direct/digital marketing and/or trade marketing and a high level of IT literacy.
