Really only likely to be understood by those who use premier pro.

When I download photos to the project and open them in the Source panel they look fine but as soon as I move them into the sequence they show up in the programme panel as zoomed in i.e. only showing part of the photo. What am I missing?

Difference in size. They're displaying at the same resolution (probably 1920x1080?). You need to scale the photo - effects panel, scale and make sure you don't keyframe it accidentally if you just want it to stay the same size.

You may have to 'crop' the scaled photo anyway unless it matches the chosen ratio.

ok, I'm in the effects panel. How do I re-scale the photo?

Drag the photo on to the timeline and right click on it. This will give you the option to 'scale to frame size', if it is the right dimensions this should do the job. If the photo is not 16:9 (video size) then you may need to double click on it in the top right viewer window and drag the corners out to re-size it more.
