Could you explain with data and references how a virus from China with the ability to mutate, would have a greater or lesser capacity to mutate due to deforestation.
They make an interesting point about habitat destruction and the likelihood of future pandemics but I doubt there's a direct link between recent mutations in Brazil and habitat destruction as it's a mutation of an existing virus rather than a new disease that's moved from animals to humans.
