Hmm. Usually, maybe

Looking forward to more though, albeit with less mud and more coastal erosion.

Can't you just imagine how good for your skin it would be walking that path barefoot....

Camping on the moor this weekend was a bit like that. Dartmoor was at its liquid best!

Tide coming in at Arnside. Coastguard are out patrolling the estuary in their rubber boat. Sunny but cold on the prom.

Went down to Arnside on Saturday midday to the chippy and the estuary at Sandside was almost lapping onto the road. Never seen the tide so high. Chippy was great, apart from the intense smell of slurry outside.

I was by the Ship Inn at Sandside yesterday and the tide was over the road just beyond it. Cars were getting through (I watched for a short while to see if anyone got caught). I've drowned a car in a high tide before (at Conder Green not Sandside). Not great.

That's not my memory of living in Devon!! Almost as wet as Argyll!! 🤣😂 I am amazed I never had trench foot as I seem to remember my leather school shoes being wet pretty much every day!

The Cabin at Crackington is a great cafe.

And Strangles beach round the corner is one of the finest in Britain. Luckily guarded by a big steep walk to get there.

After a morning session at the Quay, it was a quick dash home and sat on the terrace in lovely warm sun. Lovely!

That is a great place to live - I'm jealous!

Do you happen to know if Efford Cottage is still owned by the Acland family?

In reply to freeflyer:

I don’t know, sorry. Bude is a fine place to live, but it’s a bit of a trek when I need to get my mountain fix.
