I recall having an app on my phone that you could look through the camera and it would superimpose the names of summits on the screen. I can't seem to find it now. 

I've had a look around at what's available but they all look to be aimed at other countries and I don't live near any Munros to check if they work. 

Can anyone recommend an app that does this in the uk?

Pretty sure OS Maps does this (you need to subscribe).

Thanks. Have you used it? I don't mind paying for it but can't see anywhere saying it works in the uk.

I don't use it when on the hills. Just for photography planning before trips (good for moon and sun). But I'm pretty sure the app works as you want.

There's UKC.   But it gives a lot of spurious results.
