I am in south of France atm and need to start making my way back north. Thought it would be nice to do a 2 day mountainous walk on the way, possibly involving a hut, ideally circular or with an easy train/bus to get back to the car. Reasonably long / hard (or even a little scrambly) is fine. Any recommendations? I've chosen Annecy because weather looks reasonably ok there over the days I want (wed/Thu or maybe Fri) but open to suggestions also
can’t point you to any 2 day routes but be careful if you opt for anything involving la Tournette. The regular footpath up from Chalet de l’Aulp is closed while some works are taking place. It is properly closed with no way round and rigorously enforced!
