My son wants a new pair of shoes for his birthday (turning 21). I’d like to take him somewhere with a broad select of brands and models to try stuff on. Unfortunately we live in London where there are no proper climbing stores. What is the hive mind’s opinion on London stores/gyms with a good selection?

Rock On, at Mile End climbing wall has the best selection in London.

I would second that. Rock On at Mile End has a fantastic selection of shoes and experienced staff. They also offer a small discount for BMC members also. 

The Castle has a decent selection as well.

If p (properness) = N (number of different rock shoes) - n (number of fleeces), then Rock On one of the most proper climbing stores in the UK.

Seriously for a moment, the shoe range and staff are excellent. 

I understand Hang (Hounslow) has a decent selection, including Unparalleled with experienced fitter.

Slightly biased as said fitter is my 'offspring'.
