Apologies for asking so many questions, this is not really directly gear related, but I am struggling to find the answer I need.

Would anyone know roughly how much charges etc would be on a pair of £155.00 pair of boots from La Sportiva in Italy.

I am probably being very stupid, but can't seem to work out what I would need to pay extra on that amount.

They're more than £135, so at a minimum an extra 20% UK VAT, plus a customs handling charge is my understanding.

Yes, Indeed another Brexit benefit...so annoying!!

Where were they manufactured?

If manufactured in the EU just 20% UK VAT, plus a handling fee for someone to clear then through customs on your behalf.

If manufactured outside the EU you would also have duty (maybe 16% ?), and then UK VAT is charged on top of the duty.

(Rate of duty depends on exactly how they are classified as goods - if buying direct from the manufacturer they should be able to advise on the correct code)
