Cash only at the hut its self, but when you book online there is the option to add money to an online account that can be used to pay the remaining balance (50% balance taken on booking) instead of taking cash to the hut. Unsure how well this works in practice.
Dont expect to be able to book for dinner at the hut, a couple we met up there had walked up, and got told that they had to walk back down to the valley to get signal to book dinner online...
