Senja, Norway is an incredible place, famous for winter climbing and some really awesome summer days out. Many people will have seen pictures of Segla, for instance. These are easy to find out about. There is a 1:100,000 scale map of Senja; mine came in a pack of four, a Turkartpakke Midt-Troms, which shows and gives brief descriptions of 88 shorter walks, and in addition marks a way-marked long distance trail in Senja, for which there is no description. It runs from Olaheimen in the South, through Anderdalen National Park, to Senjabu (hut), then through the interior, curving back to the sea at Mefjorden. I reckon it would take about five days. The nearest I have come to a description is on ut.no, which gives stages distances in km (20km, 15km, 9km, etc) but nothing more. Has anyone any experience of this trail, and would they like to share it? I am hoping to walk it in 2022 and I can find bus timetables for the area more easily than any description of the route.

There's a trip report here with some photos: https://peakbook-org.translate.goog/no/tour/183098/Senja+p%C3%A5+langs+-+5+...

ut.no does give some more details if you go here https://ut.no/gruppe/15243/senja-turlag and click on "Rutebeskrivelser" and then on individual sections.
