Hiya, just looking for some info on conditions right now as im going to be italy next week and was considering a diversion up to the torino for a few days.... looks like the vallee blanche is very dry (although a bit of snow forecast over the weekend), just wondering if anyone knows if the approaches and descents from the entreves traverse and marbrees traverse are feasible?

I was under the impression that the SW ridge of the aiguille du toule can be a bit of a deathtrap in fully dry conditions... anyone got any feel for if this is the case right now?

I would give the Torino a ring and ask.  Armando the guardian speaks OK English and is very helpful.  They are probably pretty quiet at the moment

Good shout, I'll do that. Yes, expecting it to be pretty deserted. I think they close for a bit at the end of next week
