Hi everyone,

Hopefully I am putting this Q in the right forum. We are looking to do the Aiguilles Grises route on Mont Blanc in a few weeks. Conscious the Glacier del Dome may be a bit of a minefield by that point, local reports also suggest large seracs currently hang over the usual route, so considering going over the Aiguilles Grises directly from the Gonella refuge to reach the col aiguilles grises/Col de Bionnassay. Can't find any info of that alternative at all, so just wondering if anyone has done it previously and has any words of wisdom.. Is it just a scramble or are there technical passages/abseils etc to look out for? Would be interested to know as we'd be doing it in the dark.

Will be asking the local guides office and Hut warden etc too but thought fellow ukcers would have all the juicy info from experience🙂

Thanks
