Such a shame - only 63. The Specials are still one of the best bands I’ve ever seen, and he was their perfect singer. So cool.

First ever gig was the Specials, Madness and Selecter on the 2 Tone tour. Quite a high bar. They properly shifted the direction of music in their time, not many bands get to do that. It feels wrong when the generation only a nudge older starts to go.

Pancreatic cancer seems a bad one to get. Typically diagnosed late, unfortunately.
