Primal Scream's Riot City Blues album is the only style of blues I can stomach, it having a manic twist and is brilliant to have on in the background on hot & sunny days 👍

More politely: to which kinds of 'styles' of blues are you referring?

All blues makes me depressed. This album (whilst not strictly the blues, I suppose) is awesome, with the exception of Sometimes I Feel So Lonely which is something of a compelling downer.

Blues music originates (as I assume - and/or hope - that you know), from the black working class in the Southern (*) US. It's real, and it reflects their struggles.

(* And later, e.g. in Chicago, from the necessary movement of that same working class.)
