I just caught this on Iplayer and, whilst the program itself had a few holes, felt the performance by 12 year old Billy Barratt was outstanding. Definitely an actor to keep an eye out for.

It did, for me at least, ask many questions of our legal system. Surely putting children that age in front of an adult court can't be right whatever it's alleged they've done.

Well worth watching. For the performance and for the issues it raises.

It's pretty rare for children to be in adult court.  Even in serious cases they will be treated differently to adults, more frequent breaks, no wigs etc.
