Stumbled across this on Twitter/X

It's arguably the finest painting I've seen (subjective caveats apply obvs).

The artist says it's a W.I.P. I think he should leave it alone, although at least it's been photographed in it's current form.

I don't really know anything about the artist but was moved to share the image.

Cheers anyway.

Nice. In a similar(ish) style, this popped up on my Insta recently.

Whilst I’m not a fan of all of his work, absolutely love the colours in this one.

It can be immensely compelling, following an artist as they paint, as these days they're able to post works in progress. Sometimes, I'm thinking "STOP!" but then they blow my mind with the next stage of the painting. Sometimes they overwork it too. It's a fantastic spectator hobby!

In reply to broken spectre:

Downvoter. Your attempt at expression has been noted (just about). What kind of 'art' are you into? What's your shizzle?

Particularly when it’s Bob Ross!

But would you pay £250 for it (which seems to be the going rate on Etsy)?

In reply to Harry Jarvis:

If we used Van Gogh as a benchmark, I believe these paintings to be superior to his work but without the additional 6 zero's on the price tag. Bold statement.

I know they're prints and not originals on Etsy, but you get my drift.

In reply to broken spectre: Nah.  Nor the second.

But one rule I try to adhere is to not moan about art I don't like.  I just assume it's for someone else, and move on.

One of the best paintings I have ever seen is by Van Gogh - 'Farms near Auvers'.
