Another fabulous film I'd completely overlooked previously. Two great lead performances from Melissa McCarthy and Richard E Grant.

Based on a true story with a fabulous quote in the end credits...

....when summoned for jury duty late in life Lee replied " I am a convicted felon and therefore ineligible to serve. Who said crime doesn't pay?"

Seen a few very good films of late:

"Old Henry" is a sodbuster vs bad guys western with a twist;

"Kimi" is a modern techie take on Rear Window;

"La Belle Epoque" is a lovely French romantic drama on BBC4;

"Against the Ice"  is a stirring account of a 1909 Arctic expedition .

Another gem: Capernaum. A boy runs away from exploitation at home and begins his adventures in the slums of Beirut... maybe spoilt slightly by a too conventional ending. Excellent direction and an astonishing performance from the lead.
