That's a real shame, I've only been there the once, and that was for the bouldering, but have always wanted to go back with a rope. Hopefully people adhere to the guidelines/advice and give the site a bit of breathing space.

The photo heading the story is freaky.  It goes from an overhead view of the car park to a side on of a climber.  Nicely done but doing my head in.

Shame that, had a few boulders I was keen to tick off in the coming months. 

I suppose if you close all the indoor venues inevitably you'll get more wear on tear on the outdoor ones.

Any idea/guestimates on how long the suspension might last?

Not at this time. It's just until further notice for now.

There is a lot of work that needs doing, and there are still climbers turning up without correct documentation or equipment to climb there. 

That's sad news. What are you referring to by documentation? I've been there a couple of times in the last few weeks and had no idea any permission was needed.

You don't need permission to climb there but there is a code of practice that needs to be followed and you defo need a guidebook to know where you can and can't climb. Also wiping feet, not using toothbrushes are sentential and to reduce the use of chalk or even better, any one bouldering should now use an eco ball. Its a very sensitive area and climbing needs to be done with great care and currently many people do not understand the nature of the rock or environment and go at it like they're in an indoor wall.
